Exciting times for the Allotment Gardens – Duxford Parish Council has a new and enthusiastic Allotment officer, who is very keen on improving biodiversity on the allotments and linking that into a Duxford Biodiversity Strategy, to be developed over the coming weeks and months.
There is so much that can be done to improve biodiversity, starting with actions by individuals, through Parish, District and County Policy, to Governments and International Organisations.
A good starting point for those that want to find out more, is this wonderful book “A Silent Earth” – there is even a specific section about Allotment Gardens.
